Charles “Bud” Lamar Moseley

After being in the hospital since December 13, 2022, Charles Lamar Moseley walked into the arms of Jesus on February 25, 2023. He was 80 years old.  The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 1, 2023, beginning at 10:00 am-12 noon followed by a service in the Chancellor Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow in Briar Hill Cemetery.

Bud was born February 24, 1943, in Raleigh, MS to Willie Olyer and Earline Henderson Moseley. He made his home in Florence for the past 43 years. Charles loved to fish and going to his children and grandson’s sporting events. He was a diligent worker and provider for his family. He loved his job at CAT and took great pride in his work and how he provided for his family, giving them the life they deserved. He made sure that the love of his life Vickie, was taken care of and prepared to face life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Ray Moseley, Claude Moseley, Doris Craft, Dee Russell, and Willie Marie Moseley.

Those left to cherish his memory were his wife of 41 years, Vickie Moseley of Florence; children Skylar Moseley of Florence, Janae Moseley of Florence; sisters, Elaine Garner, Maxine Hodge, and Linda Womack all of Magee; and their grandson, their heart and Papaws best buddy, Rowan Stringer.
