Charles B  Mayo , 99, of  Mendenhall  passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 at home in Mendenhall.  He was born Sunday, April 7, 1918 in Polkville , MS.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 1, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Mendenhall United Methodist Church.  Funeral services will be held Monday, May 1, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Mendenhall United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Old Polkville Cemetery.  Bro. Jeff Tollison and  Bro. Brad Hodges will officiate.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601)847-4401.

He is preceded in death by his Wife – Odelle Searcy Mayo , Parents, Sam Jones Mayo and Alma Hawkins Mayo, Brother –  Dr. Robert Murrah Mayo.

Survivors include his  Daughters , Sue M Palmer, Mendenhall, Janet Fletcher (Hugh), Tucson, AZ, Grand Children, Tineka Pedral (Serafin), Mendenhall,  Leslie Fletcher (Christine), Vancouver, Canada, Lindsey Nachbar (Ben), Rancho Mission Viejo, CA, Great Grand Child – John Riggs Nachbar, Rancho Mission Viejo, CA.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Mayo, Will Mayo,  Dr. Charles Mayo, Henry Glaze, Tom Glaze and Dwight Searcy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Methodist Childrens Home and Blair E. Batson Children Hospital.
