Another Chamber Banquet has come and gone. The Magee Chamber hosted the 64th Annual Banquet Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center. Tabletops were beautifully decorated by local businesses.

Mayor Dale Berry commented that five years ago during a city board meeting, 48 building were counted on Main Street and the Historical District that were vacant. As of today, approximately only five building are vacant. Magee has seen growth in downtown areas as well as the Highway area. There have seen seven houses added within the last two years, with plans for additional houses. The city has experienced rapid sales tax growth. Our fire department has a Class Five rating and our police department is usually ranked in the top five for small cities by various publications.
