I just love “out and about” in Magee. I learned about a week ago, that Ace Hardware had a new department! Allyson Allen Berch made the decision to join her daddy in the family business. Central Wholesale has been apart of Magee since 1946—72 years!!! Ted Allen, owner, has been “walking the floors” of Central Wholesale for 56 years! Talking about a family business!!! Allyson has joined the ranks and now her son, Ted’s grandson, Ben is apart of life at the Ace. (With Ben’s part time employment , this brings the 5th generation to Central.)
Ok, back to Allyson! Allyson has added a new department to Central Wholesale. “Hardware for Her Etc” is located to the left when you walk in the front door. Be ready for many items you do not expect to find in a hardware store! Several items are from Roundtop, Texas, one of the hot spots on HGTV! Several items have Mississippi ties…from pottery, to soap, to books, to candles… Ya’ll, the items are beautiful and very unique. The brides of Simpson County are going to love this spot in Ace Hardware!
Probably, many of you are like me, I”m always looking for something for those hard to buy for folks! Well, I found them at Central. One of my favorite items was a kitchen boa. Check out the video for a up close look! Items for girls and guys are available. I started my Christmas shopping today!
Investing back into the community is the goal of the Allen/Berch family. “Our customers are so important and special to us…I am glad to greet each person who opens our door,” stated Allyson.
So, my friends, as you are cruising around Magee, stop at Central Wholesale Ace Hardware! The doors are open Monday- Friday 7-5 and 7:30-12:00 on Saturday.
I promise, you are in for a treat!
