What a great day!!! I was invited to read at Magee Elementary in celebration of Read Across America to two kindergarten classes-Mrs. Rishanna Russell and Mrs. Charlesie Walker.

Mrs. Charlesie Walker’s class

Both classes were well behaved and interacted with the story. Often, I forget how wide eyed and innocent  are young children.

What a fun day for everyone!

These two young ladies escorted me from the library to the class rooms. The library decorations were fabulous!

Theodor Seuss Geisel, also known as Dr. Suess, was a children’s author and cartoonist. Dr. Seuss was born on March 2, 1904 and died on September 24, 1991.

The event is designed to encourage reading in children with an opportunity to meet citizens of Magee.

“The more that you read,” Dr. Seuss wrote, “the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
