Cecil Quitman Maddox, 72, of Mendenhall, MS died Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall, MS. He was born Tuesday, July 4, 1944 in Magee, MS.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Athens Baptist Church in Mendenhall. Burial will follow in Athens Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall. Bro. John Coleman and Bro. Jay Wesbrook will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601)849-5031

He is preceded in death by his parents Quitman Maddox and Velma Maddox; brother- Stanley Maddox.

He is survived by his :Wife – Linda Maddox of Mendenhall, MS, Daughters – Paula Allen (Michael) of Magee, MS, Cecilia Maddox, TX, Grandchildren- Cody Sullivan , Hannah Hughes, Chelsey Lynn Fagan; Brother – Harlan Maddox (Shirley) of Magee, MS, Sister – Jewel Welch (Houston) of TX; Nephew – Keith Maddox; Nieces April Williams and Cindy Latham.

Pallbearers will be: Jason Busby, Rick Harper, Anthony Watts, Andy Scoggins, Michael Kennedy, Keith Maddox, and Thomas Earles.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Athens Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at 1380 Livingston Lane Jackson, MS 39213.
