The Magee Trojans fell short to a very physical and undefeated Columbia team Friday, November 1, 2019.

All senior football, cheer, and band students were recognized pre-game.

Serving as captains for the night were #19 Sam Rials, #44 Cameron Sullivan, #5 Janorris Newsome, and #26 Fernanzo Ross.

Magee was pumped and ready to play ball. The Trojan defense held the wildcats to a fourth down situation. Columbia went for it on 4th down to crossed the goal line first when Josh Brown scored on a 5-yard reception from Javen Moses. The two point conversion was no good. Columbia scored again when Omar Johnson scored on a 15-yard run. The two point conversion failed. Columbia was on top by a score of 12-0. Magee found the end zone when #2 Chandler Pittman scored on a 1-yard run. The Point after attempt by Sam Rials was good. With :57 seconds left on the clock Magee attempted a 37-yard field goal that was blocked. The Trojans went to the locker room at half down by a score of 12-7.

Third quarter Columbia scored on a 8-yard run. The point after attempt was no good. Columbia increased their lead by a score of 18-7. The wildcats found the end zone one more time on a 1-yard run. The point after attempt was no good.

Magee scored during the fourth quarter when Pittman kept the ball for a 25-yard run. The Point after attempt by Rails was good. The score was not enough and the Trojans lost by a score of 24-14.

The Trojans moved to 8-3 on the season. Magee will travel the first round of playoff’s to face the Jefferson County Tiger’s. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
