Carolyn Ree Shook, 65, of Mendenhall, Mississippi, passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at her home. She was born Thursday, September 29, 1955, in Magee, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall, Mississippi.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 26, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.  Bro. Earl Clark and Bro. Jim Burnham will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401

Mrs. Shook was a member of South Main Street Baptist Church of Mendenhall.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.  She enjoyed taking care of her family and grandkids.  She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John David Shook, Sr.; one son, Jay Shook; parents, Pat Sullivan and Ola Meadows Sullivan; father and mother-in-law, Eugene and Aubrey Shook; and niece, Abbie Burnham Bragg.

Survivors include two sons, Josh Shook (Crystal) of Pass Christian and Jerimie Shook of Mendenhall; nine grandchildren, Brandon Reniceker, Noah Shook, Emma Shook, Ruby Shook, Max Shook, Taylor Heffron, Nathan Gamble, Caydon Shook, and Josie Shook; one brother, Barry Sullivan (Tommie) of Braxton; two sisters, Delores Bain (Jeff) of Puckett, and Teresa Burnham (Jim) of Puckett; sister-in-law, Terri Walters (Randy) of Biloxi; brother-in-law, Bruce Shook of Biloxi; and a host of nieces and nephews.
