Carold Dee Johnson, 80, of Mize, Mississippi, died on Sunday, January 5, 2020, at Miss Care Center in Raleigh, MS. He was born Monday, September 18, 1939, in Smith County.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 12:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at 3:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee with burial to follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Mize, MS.  Bro. Rusty Troney will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031

Mr. Johnson was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in the garden.  He was a sweet and loving husband that was always bringing flowers to the love of his life.

He was preceded in death by parents, Hubbard and Nola Tanner Johnson; four brothers, Billy Kendall Johnson, Windal Johnson, H D Johnson, Jr., Harold Johnson; three sisters, Alyne Dufrene, Peggy Cole, Sarah Naquin; and one brother-in-law, Alvin Dufrene.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Faye Lewis Johnson of Mize; one son, Billy Joe Johnson and his wife, Sandy, of Mize;  six grandchildren, Joseph Johnson (Chelsie), of Mize, David Johnson (Savannah) of Wiggins, Sommer Johnson of Mize, Michelle Baggett of Stringer, Kristian Wilkerson of Florida, Danielle Wilkerson of Florida;  eight great-grandchildren, Destiny Johnson of Seminary, Trinity Johnson of Seminary, Jacob Johnson of Seminary, Anna Johnson of Mize, Jaxon Johnson of Mize, Adley Johnson of Mize, Lyla Wilkerson of Florida, and Nicholas Holder of Florida; and two brother-in-law, Edwin Cole of Magee and Chuck Naquin of Louisiana.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Johnson, David Johnson, Keith Johnson, Cory Cole, Jarrod Hankins, and Daniel Lewis.
