Carol Mae Purvis-Moon
(4/29/1943 – 4/12/2024)

Carol Mae Purvis- Moon, 80 of Magee, MS went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 12, 22024 at her residence in Brandon, MS. Carol was born April,29 1943 to Mrs. Etta Mae Majure and Harold Brantley Majure, who lost his life serving in WWII before her birth. She was raised in a loving home with her Mother and Grandmother (Minnie Mae Kees), and supported by her uncles Robert, Wylie and C.J Kees.  She was blessed with a new father when Etta Mae married her childhood friend G.O Parker Jr. when Carol was 4 years old. G.O. loved her as his own but always insisted she maintain her relationship with the Majure family.  The love of the Lord and family was instilled in Carol’s life from an early age and was still evident to her last breath.

Carol dedicated her life to serving her Lord, her children, and grandchildren. She inspired her family to fearlessly strive for greatness and never allow failure to deter them from becoming a force in the world.  Her non-judgmental demeanor encouraged others to share difficulties and seek out her wisdom. She exemplified the spirit of adventure, love of travel, and willingness to compassionately serve others. All who knew Carol will remember her sense of humor, beautiful smile and sparkling blue eyes.
