Carol was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Mendenhall, prior to her illness. She loved her church and devoted her life to serving others and teaching Sunday School classes for children. Carol was known as Miss Carol or Momma Carol to all of the young children she taught and she was loved by all who knew her. She was a precious mother and grandmother. Her great-grandchildren called her Mimi Teacock and they simply adored her.
Carol’s most precious gift was her love for her Lord and Savior. In the midst of her battle with Alzheimers she would talk to God daily and give Him thanks for taking care of her. Before she lost her ability to write, her daily journals always included a prayer for those who were lost without Christ and for protection over her and her family. She was deeply concerned for those who were lost without Christ. She never lost her faith and she knew God had plans for her beyond her days here on Earth. She lived her life and loved others with a Christian servant’s heart and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
Carol’s last year of her life was spent in the care of her son and his partner and they provided graciously for all her needs. They opened their home and devoted their entire lives to loving her and caring for her. She loved them very much and never wanted to be out of their sight. She was blessed to have such a devoted son. God also sent a couple of special angels to take care of Carol in Pensacola. Deborah Brown and Cora Moss, precious family friends provided love and care to “Miss Carol”. We are so blessed to have welcomed Deborah and Cora into our family and are so grateful for their love and care of our mother. Deborah provided care for mom until the very end and was at mom’s beside with the family when Mom entered the gates of Heaven.
Carol is survived by daughter, Tanya Carol Bradley and her husband Ed Bradley of Clinton, MS; son Vernon Daniel Peacock and his partner, Keith Lockhart of Pensacola, FL; granddaughter Brooke Hanna and her husband, Cory; granddaughter Madison Bradley; and great grandchildren, Bradley Lane Hanna, Kanon Rivers Hanna, and Kylar Aspen Hanna, all of Clinton, MS, and several nieces and nephews.
