Big news in Simpson County—both Magee and Mendenhall football teams will participate in the 3rd round of the high school playoffs!!!

We are proud of our Trojans and Tigers.

Someone asked me, “How long since both Magee and Mendenhall have participated in the 3rd round of the playoffs?”

That is a great question. I believe both teams made it to the 3rd round of the playoffs in 1989 (I believe there were four playoff games then), where they competed against each other in the South State Championship game. Afterwards both teams were classified to the 4A division in 1992 for many years.
