RIDGELAND, Miss.– C Spire, a leading national advanced technology company, is expanding its fiber infrastructure in Puckett to increase fiber access for residents. Construction is underway in one fiberhood with planned completion expected within the next three months. This expansion phase of C Spire Fiber will benefit nearly 200 residents in Puckett.

“All Mississippians should have access to reliable internet,” said Craig Jackson, senior vice president and general manager for Consumer Markets at C Spire. “Through partnerships, we’re expanding infrastructure and closing the digital divide so that more residents have the opportunity to succeed in an ever-evolving digital landscape.”

C Spire’s expansion in Puckett is possible through a public-private partnership, supported by both federal and private investments. The project is funded in part through the Broadband Expansion and Accessibility of Mississippi Capital Projects Fund grant program, as well as significant capital investment from C Spire. These fiber expansion projects in the central Mississippi area have an expected total cost of over $16 million and will help expand fiber connectivity to underserved rural areas.

“We’re excited to welcome C Spire’s fiber expansion to Puckett,” said Mayor Russ Espiritu. “Reliable, high-speed internet is no longer a luxury, it’s essential for strengthening education, fueling economic growth, and improving healthcare access. This investment equips our community’s residents and businesses with the technology they need to succeed and stay competitive.”

C Spire now offers fiber services to more than 160 communities across Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee and continues to invest in fiber infrastructure. Puckett residents can check availability for C Spire at www.cspire.com/fiber or visit a nearby     C Spire retail location to explore product offerings.

C Spire is committed to increasing access to reliable fiber connectivity in underserved rural areas, transforming how residents connect for work, education, and leisure.
