Crazy Day Returns to Magee October 24!

For 91 years the Simpson County Super Bowl was played the last game of the regular football season with the exception of two years being played at the beginning go fit season in at the Memorial Stadium in Jackson and for the High School Super Saturday.

Under the leadership of former Coach Jimbo Nowell, the game was moved to earlier in the season.

Anyone in Simpson County has a Trojan/Tiger story! The game is rich with tradition with dress up days leading to the Friday night game as well as the Tiger Funeral.

High School Principal Coach Bill Broadhead has stirred the pot this year to keep our Trojans pumped up for the big game.

Following the funeral procession in the hall, the students gather at the Auditorium for a short pep rally and “sermon.”  Tyson Tutor of Tutor Funeral Home provided the hearse.  (Side note:  Tyson is a MHS graduate and he helped build the casket years ago!)

According to Coach Broadhead, tickets will go on sale at the field beginning at 5:30.  Tickets are $7.  Kick off is at 7:00 PM.

MageeNews.com will live stream the event on MageeNews.com Facebook page beginning around 6:45.
