Burnice Eugene Green, 87 of Magee, Mississippi passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Friday, October 7, 2022, at the Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall, Mississippi. He was born Tuesday, September 17, 1935, in Booneville, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home at 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi. The burial will follow in Magee City Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Brother Donald Wayne Green and Brother Bill Bishop will officiate. Special music will be provided by Megan Frith, Lindsey Williams, and Adeilyn Baldwin. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Mr. Green was a member of Goshen Baptist Church in Magee, Mississippi. He was a loving husband to the love of his life for sixty years, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He enjoyed singing, fishing, playing piano and guitar, and most of all spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn Lansdale Green; father, E.C. Green; mother, Ila Hargett Green; grandchildren, Amanda Ashley Allen and Adam Ashley; brothers, W.A. Green, Pascal Green and Amie Green; and sisters, Ella Nora Green Bishop, Juanita Green Scales, and Joycelyn Green.
Survivors include his one son, Timothy Green (Alice) of Mize, MS; two daughters, Vickie Green Frith of Magee, MS and Judy Green Allen (Buddy) of Mount Olive, MS; four grandchildren, Jennifer Green Bishop of Laurel, MS, Lindsey Frith Williams (Matthew) of Mendenhall, MS, Megan Frith of Magee, MS and Aaron Ashley (Malloy) of Ocean Springs, MS; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Erma Lee Green of Magee, MS; one brother, Johnny Green (Pasty) of Brandon, MS; two sisters, Adra Green Luckey (Kent) of Magee, MS, and Anita Green Wallace of Magee, MS; and a host of other family members and friends .
Pallbearers will be Tim Green, Robert Singley, Jacob Singley, Billy Bishop, Amie Green, and Terry Green.
