According to Fire Marshal Charlie Valadie, the burn ban for the city of Magee has been lifted.  “Following a rain fall of 3/1/2 to 4 inches, the burn ban inside the city limits of Magee is lifted,” stated Valadie.

The county remains under a burn ban due to a lack of rainfall in certain areas of the county.  “When we get the rain fall this weekend (Saturday & Sunday), we should be good to go…but I will announce when the county ban is lifted,” emphasized Charlie.
