Mississippi State Bulldogs shut out Ole Miss Rebels 2-0 in Pearl, Ms for the Governor’s Cup.

The win was witnessed before a record-breaking  sell out crowd  at Trustmark Park Tuesday night, April 26, 2016.

Two very good teams would come into the game to face each other with the Bulldogs ranked No 4 and Ole Ranked no 12.

Bulldog Jake Mangum scored first in the first inning followed by Jake Kruyer in the 3rd inning. Mangum and Kruyer were the the only players to cross home plate for the evening.

MSU will travel to Alabama Friday for a weekend series  against the Crimson Tide.   Ole Miss will host LSU at home beginning Friday.
