Brian May (MAYPOP), 44 of Raleigh, MS passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026 at his residence in Raleigh, MS. He was born Wednesday, November 25, 1981 in Flowood, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Burial will follow in Purvis Memorial Cemetery in Raleigh, Mississippi. Bro. Tim Robertson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031.
Brian worked for Stribling Equipment for over 10 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, football and woodworking. No matter the hobby or work, Brian gave his full heart and dedication.
Above all else, Brian was a loving son, brother, husband and a deeply devoted father to his three children. Being their dad was the greatest joy of his life and he worked every day to make sure they felt safe, supported and loved. Brian had a way of making people smile and laugh and he never let anyone around him feel unloved. He never had enemies, only friends and family, and his kindness, love and steady presence will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Lee May of Raleigh, MS; grandfathers, John Purvis and Bill Coward; grandmother, Mary Purvis; aunt, Kathy Purvis; uncle, Danny Purvis.
Survivors include his wife, Jessica Leah White May of Raleigh, MS; son, JC May of Raleigh, MS; daughters, Haley Lee May (Caleb Hall) of Raleigh, MS and Sarah Elizabeth May (Leland Bufkin) of Raleigh, MS; mother, Anita Wilson of Raleigh, MS; sister, Ashley May Bowen (Bobo) of Raleigh, MS; step-father, Chris Wilson of Raleigh, MS; step-brother, Christopher L Wilson (Victoria) of Columbus, MS; step-sisters, Christin Boyd (Coby) of Florida, Cheyenne Kim of Alabama and Savannah Wilson of Alabama; grandmothers, Barbara Coward and Mary Wallick; nephews, Titus, Liam, Luke, Carter and Hudson; nieces, Peyton, Braelynn, Autumn, Sophia, Scarlet, Ava, Loren, Mila and Peach; father-in-law, Charles White; mother-in-law, Debbie White; brother-in-law, Cameron White (Alicia) of Murfreesboro, TN.
Pallbearers will be : Cody Brooks, Corey Hopkins, BJ Warren, Michael Nichols, Brooks Bowen, Christopher Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be : Bobo Bowen, Eric Snellgrove, Greg Simmons.
