Brenda (McCord) McCrory Leffingwell passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021, in Brookhaven, MS at the age of 67. She was born on December 16, 1953, to Barney C. McCord Sr. and Ruby (Bray) McCord Knight in Montgomery, AL.
Brenda worked for Mississippi State Department of Human Resources before retiring. She enjoyed tending her flower garden and crocheting. Brenda’s sons and grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. She was a regular fan at all their sporting events and pageants. Her zest for life will continue to live through them all.
She is survived by her sons, Michael McCrory (Jessica), John McCord (Shandra), Tarrell McCrory; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Barney C. McCord Jr.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021, at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The service will be on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in Tutor Funeral Home Chapel.
