Brenda J Rainey, 73 of Mendenhall, MS passed away Friday, November 15, 2024 at the St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was born Friday, February 9, 1951 in Magee, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at New Hebron Baptist Church in New Hebron. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at New Hebron Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Stonewall Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall, MS. Bro. Jeremy Knowles, Bro. Joe Hanna, Bro. Mike Grenn, and Bro. Andy Fullington will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Brenda was a devout servant of the Lord, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She dedicated her life to her passions and talents of singing, sewing, cooking, hosting, and caring for everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles (Larry) Rainey; daughter, Virginia (Ginny) Rainey; father, Everett Walker; mother, Juanita Stuart Walker.
Survivors include her sons, Glenn Rainey (Penny) and Christopher Rainey (MaeLena); daughter, Olivia Rainey (James); grandchildren, Macee Hood (Hunter), Kaitlyn Bennett (Mitchell), Geonta Williams, Landon Rainey, Taygan Rainey, Rylee Rainey, McKenna Ann Rainey and Waylon Rainey; brother, Tommy Walker (Katy); sisters, Glenda Westmoreland (Kenneth), Ann Ball (Jim) and Charlotte Stringer (Ken); and host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Rainey, Chris Rainey, Landon Rainey, Hardy Saranthus, Andy Saranthus, Jay Thompson, Michael Westmoreland, and Charlie Westmoreland.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Bob Dale, TJ Walker, Jason Walker, Waylon Rainey, Hunter Hood, Mitchell Bennett, Ashley Grubbs, Jeff Rainey, and Will Rainey.
