Bruce’s sweet mama Bea wanted to send a special birthday wish to her son. Bea Lewis brought this interesting information by to me to share with the public about her “green thumb” son!
“At an early age, Bruce loved working with flowers and growing vegetables. He made a row around the garden when he was a little boy and put seeds. The flowers grew into beautiful blooming flowers which everyone enjoyed.
When the children visited the 5 & 10 Store, Paula and Lynn would always buy candy or gum…but NOT Bruce! He always bought flower and vegetable seeds and bulbs. Each child had only 50 cents. Bruce always used his money for flowers. Bruce’s grandmother Lucky (Mom) was young Bruce’s mentor. Those two grew everything they could!”
Bruce’s interest in growing things led him to eventually establish his own business, Bruce’s Lawn and Yard Service.
