Bonnie P. Allen passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023, at Magee General Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 21, 1946, to Benjamin Elijah Pulley and Stella Geneva Avery Pulley in Clarke County, MS.
Bonnie was one of nine siblings growing up in Stonewall, MS, so she always had a playmate. She met her husband, Donald Wayne Allen, at the Farmer’s Market in downtown Jackson. After they married, they moved in 1966 to Smith County, MS, and together they began starting their family. She enjoyed fishing, riding the country roads on golf carts, and especially spending time with her family and special friend.
Bonnie is survived by her three sons, Donald Wayne Allen Jr (Esmeralda), William Warren (Paula), and Steven Allen (Maria); brother, Jackie (Linda); sisters, Nonnie and Toadie; grandchildren, Trey, Jessica, Tyler, Jose, Justin, Stasia, Josh, Wil, Anna Lauryn, and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin E. and Stella G. Pulley; husband, Donald Wayne Allen Sr; brother, Bobby; sisters, Amanda, Sarah, Becky, and Alice.
The graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Pine Grove Cemetery. Bro. Daniel Perry and Bro. Rudy Jackson will officiate the service, with interment to follow. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Magee General Hospital, Dignity Hospice, and Enhabit Home Health for the love and care shown to their mother during her time of need. Your kindness is more appreciated than words can express.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
