Bonnie L. Ross Sullivan, 88, of D’Lo, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020, at St Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born Wednesday, June 1, 1932, at her home in Simpson County, Mississippi.

Graveside Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 3, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Campbells Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401

Mrs. Sullivan was a member of Campbells Creek Baptist Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.  She was a graduate of D’Lo High School.  She then continued her education at the University of Southern Mississippi, where she obtained her master’s degree in education.  She taught at several schools throughout her career and retired from Jackson Public School with fifty years as a teacher.  She was active in Simpson Historical Society.  She loved animals and was an avid rescuer of animals.  She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of thirty years, Billy Ray Sullivan; parents, Barney Franklin Ross and Callie Jane Fails Ross; one daughter, Caren Sullivan; one grandson, Ross Wiggers; seven brothers and one sister.

Survivors include three loving daughters, Donna Sullivan Wiggers and husband, Tom of Brandon, Kimberly Sullivan of Kalama, WA, and Risea Sullivan Lawrence and husband, Robert of Brandon; three grandchildren, Nick Brown and wife, Amanda of Florence, Benjamin Brown and wife, Katrina of Newnan, GA, and Erin Wiggers and wife Amber McIntyre of Montrose, CO; one great-grandson, Noah Brown of Newnan, GA; and a host of other family members and friends.
