The body of an 18 year old Wesson young man was recovered around 4:00 Thursday morning. The body was found about 100 feet away from where he went into the water and in about 15 feet of water.
The drowning took place at D’Lo Water Park which is located on the Strong River in D’Lo. D’Lo is a small town located in Simpson County near the county seat, Mendenhall.
The victims name has not been released at this time.
The drowning took place around 7 Wednesday night.

Surrounding rescue units took part in the search.
