Bobby Ray Williams, 81, of Quitman, Mississippi passed away on August 12, 2021 at his residence.

He was born on November 13, 1939 to Ralph and Olivia (Cranford) Williams in Quitman, MS.

He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, where he served two tours in Vietnam. While stationed in Pensacola, FL he served in several capacities with the Blue Angels. He received numerous awards and medals for his service. He was an active member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Quitman, MS.

Bobby is survived by, 2 Daughters, Gwen (Dan) Johnston, and Darcie (Chad) Avera, Granddaughter, Ashlyn Johnston, 3 Grandsons, Brandon (Avarie) Johnston, Colby (Shelby) Avera, and Peyton Avera, Great-grandson, Baylor Dean Johnston, 2 Brothers, Johnny (Faye) Williams, and Jimmy Williams.

Pallbearers are Brandon Johnston, Colby Avera, Peyton Avera, Jimmy Ray Downey, Randy Taylor, and Vince Hinson.

He was preceded in death by Father, Ralph Lee Williams, Mother, Olivia Jane Williams, Wife, Willow Dean Williams, Daughter, Candace Michelle Williams, 2 Brothers, James Edward “Willie” Williams, and Gerald “Curly” L. Williams, Sister, Sara Jane Williamson.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2021, 2:00 pm at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, with Rev. Bo Bankston, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Memorial can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or your favorite charity. Online condolences can be given at www.wrightsfuneral.com.
