Bobby N. Herrington, 87, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020, at his residence. He was born on February 23, 1933, to his parents, Claude Herrington and Sadie Grubbs Herrington in Magee, MS.
He retired from the United States Postal Service as postmaster from both Magee and Sanatorium locations in Simpson County, MS. He was a member of Goodwater Baptist Church and was actively involved in his church.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Sadie Herrington; wife, Merle Sullivan Herrington; son, Robert Herrington and sister, Patsy C. Herrington.
He is survived by his son, Charles Herrington (Susan); daughter, Cynthia Leigh Lawrence (Paul); two grandchildren, Hailey Lawrence and Seth Lawrence.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020, at Goodwater Cemetery at 5:00 p.m. Brother Jason Webb will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests sending memorial donations to Goodwater Cemetery Association, 1313 Goodwater Road West, Magee, MS 39111.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
