Bobbie Nell Hayman Williams, 83
On Friday, December 8th, Bobbie Nell passed away peacefully at Hillcrest Nursing Center in Magee, MS. She was born May 13, 1940, to Roy and Veoda Hayman of Simpson County, Mississippi.
During her 83 years of life, she held many titles including: daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother, aunt, foster-mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Of all those titles Momma and Mammaw were her two most cherished, and she loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all her heart! Her love for others extended beyond her own family, she was always the first person to help those in need and would welcome you with an open heart and warm hug. Bobbie Nell also loved her garden and liked all things pink. She will be remembered for her giving spirit, her incredible work ethic, and sassy personality!
Bobbie Nell was reunited in death with her husband, Lathan Williams; son, Richard “Tiger” Reed; siblings, Edward Earl Hayman and Lucille Hayman Perry; parents, Roy Hayman, Veoda Sheppard Hayman, and Vivian Hayman; grandson, Steph Williams; and her best friend, Imogene Wade.
She leaves behind her children, Steve (Rosemary) Reed of Pensacola, FL; Dianne (Dwight) Varner of Brandon, MS; Michelle Adcox of Mendenhall, MS; Donna (Frank) Blake of Florence, MS; Dudley Williams of Mendenhall, MS; Steve (Misti) Williams of Clinton, MS; and Roger Williams of Jackson, MS; 19 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by her sisters; Kathleen Byrd of Florence, MS; Hazel Taylor of Mendenhall, MS; brother; Royce (Margaret) Hayman of Canton, MS; sister-in-law, Carla Hayman of Canton, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons; Steven Reed, Adam Varner, Ben Adcox, Daniel Blake, Spud Williams, Quentin Alman, Abram Bryant, and Garrett Duffy.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, MS. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 9:00 A.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, MS.
A Graveside service will follow at 12:00 P.M. Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery in Clinton, MS. Bro. Rudy Jackson, Bro. Dwight Varner, Bro. Jeff Walker, and Clinton Hayman will officiate.
Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
