Magee Board of Alderman met Tuesday March 15, 2016 at 6:30 pm.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Jimmy Clyde. Pledge was given and Patrick Brown, led in opening prayer.
Minutes were approved.
Board discussed issue with Jake braking. An ordinance was voted and approved to put into force for trucks using Jake braking within the city limits. This will have to be publicized and warning signs will have to be posted, and from that date of publication it will be 30 days until going into effect.
Claims docket was discussed and approved.
In police matters Chief Randy Crawford brought before the board a candidate, Mirassa Shows, for hire as dispatcher. Chief Crawford asked permission for officer Matt Sullivan to attend preventing attack and transporting school at Holmes Community College. Request was approved. Asked to accept the reassignment of Jamie Freeman from full time to part time.
Police Department asked to accept seized vehicle from MBN 2005 Jeep to be added to the inventory for the police department. Request granted.
Public Works Matters has the approved for 2 employees to attend the Ms Rural Water Association meeting March 28-31, 2016 for continuing education hours. Request was approved.
A request from Ken Easterling to build a hanger at the air port was voted and approved. P
With no further business meeting was adjourned to go into executive session to discuss personnel issues.
