Magee Board of Alderman met on Tuesday, November 3, 2015. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Jimmy Clyde, and Lane Steele opened in prayer.
Major Clyde reminded everyone the Veterans Day Parade and ceremony would be Tuesday, November 10, 2015
Work Projects and Committee reports were approved.
Under Unfinished Business Minutes were approved, and ordinance to close alley block 12 Everett s/d Number 2.
The Pearl River Basin Development will fund $50,000 toward splash pad for the city park. Work must be done by June 2016.
New Business – The claims documents was approved.
Chief Crawford approached the board about an officer to hire full time. Decision would be determined when all background information is complete.
The Fire Department and Public Works had no business at this time.
Joe Worrell approached the board about property on 6th Ave that needed to be cleaned. Approval to move forward with this matter was given.
No further business and meeting was recessed to later date.
