Simpson County School Board hired Dr. Kenitra Ezi as the Principal at Mendenhall High School during a special called board meeting Thursday, April 27, 2023.
Dr. Ezi was recently the Superintendent from West Jasper School District.
The board approved for new incoming 2023-2024 Administrative Staff (Dr. Kenitra Ezi, Johnnie Barnes, Shelia Copeland, Nestor Gonzalez, an Dr. Keri Armstrong) to work 5 days (10 for Finance Director) from April 27, 2023 to June 30, 2023 at a compensation of $12,280.73 cost to the district.
The only other item covered in the special meeting was the approval request for a team of five people. Dr. Randall, Mr. Brumfield, Ms. Hubbard, Ms. Kendall and Ms. Robinson, or a designee from MJH to travel to Pike County School District in Georgia to visit their implementation of Project Based learning. The board approved the request.
With no further business the meeting was adjourned.
