Sweet precious Bethany James died Tuesday, unexpectedly. What a sad day. Bethany touched many lives…and often through her Facebook post.

I always enjoyed her pictures, especially her “Mickey Mouse.” Often, we forget how much our lives mean to others. We may think we are in a bubble and no one cares. People loved Bethany and they cared. Her love for others allowed love for her. Opening our heart and sharing our life is a testimony. Thank you Bethany for allowing me to know you…because by knowing you, I loved you.

Bethany’s funeral was at her home church Dry Creek Baptist Church. The “house” was packed…no one would have enjoyed it more than Bethany!

Memorial Day – A Time of Remembrance and Reflection

Memorial Day – A Time of Remembrance and Reflection

May 25, 2026

My prayers are for the family and friends. Life has forever changed. I am often asked “how do you bury a child?” The question has no easy answer. Losing a child is not something you choose. The decision was not yours. What I always say is be kind to yourself. When you experience the death of a child, there is no normal…so don’t look for it. Hold tightly to our Lord and Savior…allow your friends to love you. Make the choice to go forward…you have control over this decision. Talk about your child…say their name…celebrate the days of their lives. Take baby steps everyday and one day you will actually be able to walk again. The pain never leaves…the thoughts never leave…continue to walk in the love of your Savior.

I loved Bethany. I love Charles, Melinda and, Devin. I am praying.
