The Scriptural passage for today is found in James 1:12: “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trail, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.” We all undergo trials, successes, failures, and triumphs; yet, for the Christian, there is the promise that a reward awaits those who endure to the end. There is a crown of life, a reward awaiting us, presented by God Himself with the words, “Well-done, thy good and faithful servant.” How wonderful that will be for the faithful. Let us be counted among that throng of believers. “When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be. When we all see Jesus, we’ll sing and shout the victory!” Amen! I do love singing and playing that old hymn.
