Billy Sumrall, 75, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at St. Dominic Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 11, 1947, to James Sumrall and Annie Bell Lambert Sumrall in Monticello, MS.
Some of Billy’s favorite things were taking his family to Pigeon Forge, TN. He enjoyed riding the rides with all the kids and just spending time with them. He loved all their gatherings and enjoyed cooking for them year-round. He was proud of himself when he made a good sale. He was the rock of their family and loved them more than anything. He had an uplifting spirit and was a joy to be around. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-three years, Elizabeth Feather Sumrall; sons, Johnny Sumrall (Roxie), Bobby Sumrall; brother, Larry Sumrall (June); grandchildren, Ashley Berry (Jared), Bradley Sumrall (Kayla), Rachel Barnes, Joanna Harris (Gregory); great-grandchildren, Alaric, Arabella, Aiden, Callie, Evie, and Brodie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Annie Bell Sumrall, brother, J.B. Sumrall, and daughter-in-law, Karen Sumrall.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS, from 10:00 AM until 12 noon. The service will begin at 12:00 PM with Bro. Kevin Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Mendenhall City Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
