Billy Hutson passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023, at MS Care Center of Raleigh. He was born on January 21, 1941, to the late Homer V. Hutson and Norma Ponder Hutson in Brandon, MS.
In his early years, Billy served in the United States National Guard. He retired from farming and also driving the school bus. With driving the bus came many perks, one of which was being able to drive his grandchildren to school. He enjoyed that tremendously. He looked forward to meeting up with his friends at Burnham’s in Puckett. He enjoyed playing dominoes and bingo and was good at it. He was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge #621 of Puckett. He was a member of Puckett Methodist Church and a lifelong member of the Puckett community.
He is survived by his son, Bart Hutson and daughter-in-law, Regina; one grandchild, Tatum K. Hutson and soon to be husband, Daulton Newman, along with many friends that will greatly miss him.
Along with his parents, Homer and Norma Hutson, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-two years, Patsy Bishop Hutson and sisters, Louise Mae Williams and Jimmie Lou Burnham.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Puckett Methodist Church from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM. The service will begin at 2:00 PM with Bro. Matthew Pharis officiating. Interment will follow in Puckett Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
