Mrs. Ainsworth is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Janice Ainsworth of Magee and Dan and Staci Ainsworth of Westcliffe, CO. Also cherishing her memory are grandchildren Jamie and J.M. Webster and Rachel Ainsworth of Magee, MS; and Jordan and Jill Ainsworth of Tomball, TX; as well as one great-grandchild, Faith Marie Ainsworth of Tomball, TX. Further surviving her by six hours was her older brother, John Murray, of LaGrange, GA, who passed away on the same evening. Rose also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Ainsworth; grandson, Adam Thomas Ainsworth, both of Magee, MS; parents, Dewey and LouElla Jones Murray; her brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Twyla Murray, all of Summerland, MS; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Murray of LaGrange, GA. Also preceding her were her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Maggie and Rice Ainsworth, as well as her six Ainsworth sisters-in-law, Codie Duckworth (Leon), Willie Ainsworth, Myra Stringer (Durwood), Mary May (Billy Green) and Lillie Maddox (Pete) all of Magee and Nell McCall (Joe ) of Hattiesburg, MS.

Billie Rose Murray Ainsworth was born September 7, 1930, in Summerland, Mississippi, the middle child of three. She and her beloved brothers were raised by industrious, hard-working parents on their farm. Summerland Baptist Church was her home church, and she graduated as valedictorian from Soso High School in 1948.

After graduating from Mississippi Southern College with a degree in Business Education in 1952, she worked four years as a stenographer at the Hercules plant in Hattiesburg, MS. Her dream to marry a farmer and return to farm life came true when she met Wiley Ainsworth.

They married at Main Street Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, MS, on March 18, 1956, and began their life together on his farm in Magee, Mississippi. Two treasured sons, Randy and Dan, soon completed their family. The couple spent 62 years successfully ranching and farming, raising their sons, being involved in the Magee community, and serving faithfully at Goodwater Baptist Church.

Following Wiley’s death in 2017, Rose moved to Lakeview Assisted Living in Magee when she turned 90. This fresh season in her life brought new and renewed friendships and fun recreation. The move also gave her new opportunities to show the love of Christ and serve others. Her family will forever be grateful for the care and love shown to Rose during her time at Lakeview.

It would be her desire that any gift in her memory be directed to the ministries of either Goodwater Baptist Church, 1313 Goodwater Road NW, Magee, MS 39111, or Summerland Baptist Church, 80 SCR 28-4, Taylorsville, MS 39168.

So very sorry for your loss Randy and Dan. I met your mom and dad on several occasions. She was always the southern lady!
