Betty Nell Smith, 65, passed from this life on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Magee General Hospital in Magee, MS.

Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held  Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral  in Magee, MS with Bro. Joe Mets and Bro. Charles Burnham officiating.  Burial will follow in Dry Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, with Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee in charge of arrangements, (601)849-5031.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 11, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee.

She was born Wednesday, July 19, 1950 in Magee, MS.  She was a retired line worker for Universal Manufacturing in Magee. Mrs. Smith was a member of Dry Creek Baptist church, where she was a Boy Scout leader, and was active in the Senior Citizen Ministry at the church.

She is survived by her husband Gordon Albert Smith, son Gordon Allen Smith and wife Shelly, grandchildren Sawyer and Garet Smith, brother Manuel Lee Hosey and wife Beulah, twin brother Billy Dale Hosey and wife Susan, sister Lena Mae Barrett, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her parents James Aubrey Hosey and Lou Nell Hosey, brothers John Henry Hosey, James William Hosey, Charles Thomas Hosey, Gayle Eugene Hosey, and a baby brother Hosey, sisters Annie Mae Moody and Fannie Mae Vanderford.
