Betty L. Everett Blackwell, 74, of  Mendenhall, MS passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Bedford Care Center of Mendenhall , MS. She was born Thursday, November 12, 1942 in Braxton, MS.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 27, 2017 from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall in Mendenhall.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. Burial will follow in Braxton City Cemetery in Braxton. Bro. Joe Hanna and Bro. David Hanna will officiate.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601)847-4401

Ms. Blackwell is precede in death by her husband William Thomas (Dub) Blackwell; Parents Earnest  Lynwood Everett and Betty Lou  Everett.

Ms. Blackwell is survived by her Daughter – Jeanene Barnett (Paul) of Mendenhall, Granddaughter- Grecian Barnett; Sisters – Patricia Richmond (James) of Brookhaven, and Judy Garretson of Braxton; Brother – Jerry Wayne  Everett of Braxton.
