January 14, 1934 – February 23, 2019

Betty Jean Magee, 85, of Mt Olive, passed from this life on Saturday February 23, 2019 at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg. She was born Sunday, January 14, 1934.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM at the Mt Olive Presbyterian Church in Mt Olive.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Mt Olive Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Mc Nair Cemetery. Bro Joe Gardner and Bro Bo Bankston will officiate.

Mrs. Betty was a member of Mt Olive Presbyterian Church. She was employed at Powell Drug Store in Mt Olive for over thirty years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Craft and Ethel Craft Turnage, Husband,  Tommie Magee, Brother, Harold Turnage and Step-father Robert Turnage.

Survivors include daughter, Deborah Bankston and husband Forrest, of Meridian,  Son Tommy Magee and wife Gwen, of Ellisville, Sister, Sherry Sullivan (Bill), Sister-in law, Karyn Turnage, Grandchildren, Joseph Bankston and wife Melisa, John Bankston and wife Holly, Johnny Milling and wife Candee, Katye Magee, Trista Magee, Great-grandchildren, Lily Bankston, Zachary Bankston, Mitchell Bankston, Luke Bankston, Rhaly Milling, Ramsey Milling.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Bankston, John Bankston, Johnny Milling, Craig Magee, Rex Magee, Bill Powell, and Charles Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Sullivan, Word Johnston, Kelvin King, and John Powell.
