Betty J. Higgs, 87, of Mendenhall, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday Sept. 26, 2018 at Strong River Villa in Mendenhall, Mississippi. She was born Monday, August 3, 1931.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Mendenhall.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Mendenhall. The Burial will follow in Mendenhall City Cemetery. Bro. Rodney Anderson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401)
Mrs. Betty was a member of First Baptist Church Mendenhall.
She was preceded in death by husband of 53 years Bill Higgs, parents, Clyde and Wilma Jernigan.
Survivors include Son, David Higgs and Wife Cindy, Daughter, Marilyn Harrison, Grandchildren, Michael Higgs and wife Amber, and Leise Alexandra Harrison, Sisters, Faye Stephens and Doris Cosky, Brothers, Cecil Jernigan, and Dean Jernigan. Great –grand Dogs, Abby and Leica.
Pallbearers will be Larry Grant, Ryan McGuffee, Curtis Boyte, Jeffrey Nestor, and Michael Jolly. Honorary pallbearers will be The Glory Sunday School Class
