JANUARY 5, 1933 – SEPTEMBER 11, 2020

Betty Joyce Statum Hodge, 87, of Moody, Alabama, formerly of Magee, MS, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020. Betty was predeceased by her parents, Ruby and Hugh Talmadge Statum, and her brother, Hugh Talmadge Statum, Jr.

Survivors include Betty’s husband, Arthur W. Hodge; her daughter, Lisa Hodge Potter (Jonathan); her son, Arthur Gregory Hodge (Holly); and her cherished grandchildren, Elliott Potter (Taylor), Nicholas Hodge, Barrett Potter Bisognani (Joey), Kelsey Potter, and Alexander Hodge; sister-in-law, Mary Statum; niece, Pam Statum Jordan (Mike); nephew, Tab Statum (Becky); and special cousin Barbara S. Lantrip, who became a sister, and cousin Tammy Lantrip Stone (Tim), who became a niece and a nephew.

A Service of Remembrance for Betty Hodge will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 in the chapel of Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL. The gravesite committal service will be the same day at 2:45 p.m. at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo.
