Benny Harold Prince passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Simpson General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on October 18, 1935, in Simpson County, to John Berlie Prince and Mary (Heitt) Prince.
Benny was a member of The Magee Volunteer Fire Dept., Magee Touchdown Club, Magee Rotary Club and Magee Lion’s Club. Benny always had a smile on his face and his gift was making others laugh. He liked helping others and was often found mowing his neighbor’s lawns to lend a helping hand. He loved all things football.  He traveled to every game his son-in-law, Todd Mangum, coached and was his biggest supporter.  His greatest love was for his family and the special bond they shared.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Peggy Walker Prince; daughters, Melinda Berry (Danny) and Kim Mangum (Todd); brother, Charlie Bob Prince (Judy); sisters, Louise Windham, Inez Bell; six grandchildren, Bethani Welch (Chris), Ben Whittington (Lacey), Bradley Munn, Bayleigh Grace Munn, Natalie Mangum Lee (Matt), Will Mangum; two great-grandchildren, Harper Whittington and Ann Vivian Welch.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Prince.
Visitation for friends will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Services will be Monday, March 12, at First Baptist Church of Magee, at 2:00 p.m. with interment following in Magee City Cemetery.   Rev. Buddy Keyes and Rev. Jim Taylor will officiate.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
