Benny was operator of the Harrisville Water Department for forty-two years. He served as District 5 Supervisor in Simpson County for twelve years. He loved helping others and he made a difference in the lives of many. He will be greatly missed dearly especially by his family.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, basketball, baseball and being outdoors. But more than anything, he enjoyed teaching and spending time with his grandsons. He prayed daily that they follow in his footsteps as the verse says, “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022, at Harrisville Baptist Church from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The service will be at 3:00 p.m. with interment following in Harrisville Cemetery with Bro. Rich Mayfield and Bro. Scott Sones officiating.
