Ben Palmer, 93, of Mendenhall, Mississippi, went to be with his Lord on Monday November 22, 2021 at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall. He was born Monday, May 28, 1928.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Mendenhall City Cemetery. Bro. Bruce Smith will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401
He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening, fishing, trapping, and hunting- especially turkey hunting. He loved the Lord and was a charter member of Main Street Baptist Church. He was a loving father and grandfather who was happiest when surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Eula Palmer, brothers, Cecil Palmer, Joe Palmer, Sam Palmer, and Billy Palmer, sister, Willie Alice Tucker.
Survivors include his children, Linda Ellzy (Jimmy),Susan Frith, Carolyn Mangum (Robert), Bennie Palmer (Amanda), and Judy Palmer, seven grandchildren, Chasity McQueen, Alisha Walker, Jason Frith, Justin Mangum, Ali Frye, Jarrad Palmer, and Victoria Palmer, five great-grandchildren, Matthew McQueen, Ella McQueen, Jake Walker, Clark Mangum, and Wilkin Frye, sister, Bobbie Sullivan, and a host of nieces and nephews.
