“Jesus Loves ME”

One of the first songs I learned as a child was “Jesus Loves Me”.  It is such a simple song yet such a powerful message!!  Love started with God.  He loved us first and gave us the ability to love others.   Jesus went to the cross to die for me and you because He loves us.  To really know love, we need to experience the love of God.  We talk about our problems, our sorrows, our losses, and our frustrations.  We talk and sing about how much we love Jesus, yet do we live like we really understand how much God loves us?  Do we comprehend the unconditional love that has been showered upon us?  When we finally and completely grasp how God loves us, we will then understand that there is nothing that will make God stop loving us!!  I love my children and I have always told them that they can never do anything that will make me stop loving them.  I may not approve of their behavior or their choices; I may not always like them, but I will always love them!!!   That is a small example of God’s love for us.  When we grasp God’s unconditional love for us, maybe we will be more understanding of others, more forgiving, kinder, and more patient.   Maybe we will be more merciful!  “Because He first loved me”. 1 John 4:19.

Role models can be positive or negative.

Don’t put a lot of concern into what others think of you.
