As the City of Magee continues to clean up the city, Magee High School teacher Patrick Morgan and student Logan Hopkins are striving for beauty at Magee High School

“Flowers just set off a place,” stated Morgan. “The flowers show we care about our school, our city, and our citizens.”

Patrick Morgan is the Agriscience Teacher and FFA advisor.  I was fortunate to interview Mr. Morgan following his selection as Magee High School teacher of the month.

Mr. Patrick Morgan and Sue

Morgan is on fire for agriculture!  He told me quickly that agriscience is not all about pigs, cows, and chickens!  Agriscience brings real life experiences to the classroom.  According to Patrick, students are taught how to make speeches, conduct a meeting, maintain a budget…the list goes on  and on!

Logan Hopkins, who is an Agriscience student and member of the FFA, assisted with the beautification project.

Mr. Morgan and Logan placed two large pots at the entrance to the school as well as highlighting the sign flower bed with flowers.

I hope you will take time to listen to my interview with Mr. Morgan.  He will get you excited about Ag!!!
