The Scriptural passage for today is found in Colossians 2:6-7: “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith, as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” Yes, indeed! The early Christians were constantly being written to and admonished by the apostles to follow the example Christ had set for all His disciples. They were to be busy helping one another in all areas of Christian development and nurturing. They were to build up and encourage the weaker vessels among them, especially when a need was shared. Also, they were to exhibit grateful hearts, thankful hearts, as a testament to what God had done for them. We today are to do no less. Let us lift high the blood-stained banner and shine the light of love so that others may see Jesus in all that we do. Amen!
