I have mentioned serval times the organization Compassionate Friends.  The group is composed of people whose child (no matter the age) has passed.

I attended several meetings of Compassionate Friends soon after my son Larkin died.  The meetings were very inspiring and informative.  Due to circumstances, I was unable to continue attending the meetings, but, I do continue to receive the monthly newsletter.

I have found the newsletter, with its inspiring articles,  often provide a much needed ounce of hope to life after the loss of a child.

I will be glad to share the September newsletter with anyone who is interested.  Just click here and provide your email address and I’ll send the newsletter.

During September, a ballon lift-off takes place as a way to send a message …but more than that…a way to allow the grieving person to physically do something for their child.

All of this may seem strange, but if you are grieving the loss of a child, you would understand.

I am including the information to participate in the Ballon Lift-Off.

You can print off MageeNews.com by going to file on your computer and select print.  If you do not have a printer, just include the needed information and mail.  Larkin has been apart of the ballon lift-off for 18 years!  I do not attend the event but always send the needed information.

BALLON LIFT-OFF

The balloon lift-off will be the third Saturday in September which is September 21st.

Corinne Watts is checking to see if we can have the balloon lift-off at Pelahatchie Park on the Reservoir like last year.

In preparation for this, please fill out and return if you cannot attend but want your child’s name to be included with a brief message and lifted off on a balloon.

Please return to:
The Compassionate Friends, Inc.
