Asher Dewayne Jernigan, 9 months old, of Raleigh, Mississippi, passed from his earthly home to his heavenly home Friday, July 23, 2021, at the University Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He was born Wednesday, September 30, 2020, in Jackson, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until service time at Crossroads Holiness Church in Raleigh, Mississippi.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Crossroads Holiness Church. The burial will follow in North Raleigh Cemetery in Raleigh, Mississippi. Bro. Chris Cromwell and Bro. Keith Cooper will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031
He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, DL Jernigan; great-grandmother, Nancy Reeves; great-grandfather, Robert Grantham; and great-grandmother, Betty Jo Chandler Grantham; uncle, Waylon Jernigan; and aunt, Ruth Ann Jernigan.
Survivors include his loving parents, Rodney Dewayne Jernigan and Memory Leigh Wilkerson Jernigan of Raleigh; two brothers, Jason Jernigan and Axle Jernigan, both of Raleigh; grandparents, Hubert Jernigan and Donna Hill Jernigan of Raleigh, and Chuck Wilkerson and Mary Grantham Wilkerson of Forest; great-grandmother, Anna LaFleur Brewer; great-grandparents, Tim Hill and Shirley Williamson Hill of Soso; great-grandfather, Duck Wilkerson of Forest; uncle and aunt, Matthew and Brandy Kaulfers of Raleigh, North Carolina; aunts, Miranda Jernigan, Breanna Jernigan, and Anna Grace Jernigan all of Raleigh; uncle, Chance Wilkerson of Forest; aunts, Makenzie Wilkerson, Liberty Wilkerson, and Linzie Wilkerson all of Forest; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Kaulfers and Chance Wilkerson. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Wilkerson and Hubert Jernigan.
