Ascentium Healthcare Resources hosted a Magee Chamber of Commerce sponsored Ribbon Cutting Thursday, April 11, 2019. Ascentium is a division of Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forrest and offers a wide-range of services for healthcare providers.

Ascentium is located in the smaller Pioneer Tower in the Business Industrial Park in Magee.  The company employs approximately fifty people who work with healthcare billing.  Many of the employees were former Pioneer employees.

Sydney Sawyer, Magee High School graduate, serves as the Chief Executive Officer for the company.
