Art Lovers’ Soirée
In 2014, my pop-up gallery and community art event organization, Art Space 86 partnered with Fischer Galleries to create a party based around art. I’m so excited that in 2020 we’re still able to bring this party to the Jackson community. Art Lovers’ Soirée will be held on February 13, from 5-8pm in the Dickies Building at 736 S. President St. where Fischer Galleries is located. We are inviting a few other artists and organizations to join us which we will announce on the Facebook event page. I will be exhibiting some new relief sculptures by Robert Crowell, paintings by Long Beach artist Sadako Lewis, whimsical sculpture by Sam Clark, and a new series of paintings I have been working on and exhibited in Japan last fall.
Drawing the Head Workshop
In addition to the event I am also teaching a workshop on Saturday, February 8, from 9am – 4pm on drawing the head ($125). The workshop will be held in the Art Space 86 gallery space on the first floor of the Dickies Building. I need a model for the 1-4pm session. Email me and let me know if you’re interested in taking the class or sitting for the class to draw you.
Visual Explorations of Tuscany
Registration is open for our eighth Visual Explorations of Tuscany trip from July 17-24. Jessie and I absolutely love getting to take people to experience Italy. The sights are stunning, the food and wine are exceptional, and the art history will blow you away. Lots of info about the trip HERE.
